NE Italy eats tour

Hi. I’m Stefano Demartin. I was born and raised in Northeastern, Italy. And I’m Rachel Demartin. I’m from the Great NorthWest-Washington. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Stefano’s home made lasagna is why we got married. We love food. And we love the memories that are made around the table. Eating good food with good people makes for a happy life. The food in Italy is something to build your life around. Many iconic foods of Italy (proscuitto, prosecco, polenta, lasagna and more) all have roots in NorthEastern Italy and we’d like to take you on a culinary tour of NorthEastern Italy so you can not only TASTE these foods but also see how and where these foods come from. If you like good food and have been looking for an excuse to come visit Italy…we think you should come with us! We will let our taste buds be our guides as we explore delicious foods of Italy soaking in the fantastic scenery along the way.

After marrying my American wife, Rachel, I had the opportunity to live in the Dolomites full time. While Rachel and I have traveled the globe together [visiting 5 continents living in 6 States and 4 countries] the Dolomites are always a place we long to return to. The people, the food, and the serenity are unique in all the world. I am not a mountaineer by profession [I’m an Engineer working in Management Consulting] but I am an avid hiker with many good and kind friends throughout the Dolomites anyone would want to meet.
This tour came about because of my passion for the Dolomites and by the fact that I am frequently bombarded with questions about travel tips to Italy. So often I’ve wanted to be there to introduce my friends to the sites they are traveling half the world to see. I recently realized that although there are endless tours of Italy…there are so few offered by locals–those who know how to make the difference between touring a location and traveling within it, two similar but very different experiences. I’d like to take you places that only locals know about, introduce you to people who know the best foods and really give you a feel for what it is like to live in the Dolomites. I’d love for you to meet them and help you make memories you will never forget. Read more. But I hope you’ll have no doubts that this trip I am offering is unique.
